The Songwriting Discovery Workshop Series emphasis is on exploring the heart and soul of the great songwriter.  No matter whether you’ve been writing for ages, or are just beginning, there’s a song inside you that you haven’t tapped into yet. During this series, we will be discussing and applying a multitude of songwriting techniques and exercises that will challenge, stimulate and stretch your creative muscles in a team oriented environment that celebrates your own accomplishments as well as those of your classmates. 

Write a Song with us!

Collaborative Songwriting reveals and deduces the distance between us, inviting connection, inspiration and highlighting the issues affecting us individually and in our communities.

This program turns stories and experiences into inspiring songs.

Participants will collaborate with professional singer-songwriters to create a personal song, a song for loved ones, and a song supporting their efforts in combating their own challenges. We believe hearing stories transformed into songs and performed in concert can be a profound path to healing, community building, compassion, and moving forward.

This workshop is to have the class write authentic, original songs from their own
experiences, bringing deeper meaning, understanding, and healing for wellness, recovery and prevention. Using their creative talents, this exercise builds confidence, self-esteem and self-worth, and lets them know that their lives and stories matter. They’ll experience first hand how they have something important to share with the world, all while having fun and connecting with others.
