Call for Artists & Poets: Children's Mental Health Awareness Day

National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day on May 10, seeks to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and to show that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development from birth.


Awareness Day 2018: Partnering for Health and Hope Following Trauma focuses on the importance of an integrated health approach to supporting children, youth, and young adults with serious emotional disturbance who have experienced trauma. Partnering for Health and Hope Following Trauma will focus on the importance of an integrated approach to caring for the mental health needs of children, youth, and young adults who have experienced trauma, as well as their families. More than 1,100 communities and 160 national collaborating organizations and federal programs will organize local Awareness Day activities and events around the country.


Each year National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day seeks to raise awareness about the importance of children’s mental health and show that positive mental health is essential to a child’s healthy development.


We are inviting local visual artists and poets to submit for this year's event, held on Thursday May 11, 2018 from 6-8pm in Jefferson, NJ.
