Breaking Stigma Festival on the Morristown Green
Breaking Stigma Festival on the Morristown Green was a collaborative effort of Morris County’s LIFE Center Stage, Community Coalition for a Safe and Healthy Morris, Atlantic Health Systems, Morris County Human Services, the Stigma Free Committee and many others.
On Saturday, June 22 on the Morristown Green it was a free event featuring music, art making and featured speakers for the purpose of lifting the stigma of mental illness and substance abuse and building a strong and healthy community.
The event included poetry readings, comedy, yoga, mask-making, interactive art, a drum circle, musical performances and a slate of speakers who will share their stories. Morris County Sheriff Jim Gannon will attend with Hope One.
